Micro-System-Technology for precise colour measurement
ColorTector Alpha® is a portable colour- measuring instrument equipped with an external sensor having 45¢X/0¢X measuring geometry according to DIN 5033 specification. The modern, accurate microprocessor based technology uses the spectral analysis method to determinate the colour of the sample: A defined light source illuminates the samples and the reflected surface light is spectrometrically analysed.

ColorTector Alpha® has extensive application for:

  • The objective quality control of colour during production, resulting in fewer reject

  • The colour measurement and recording of products supplied by O.E.M suppliers to check for conformity with DIN and ISO 9000 specifications

  • The comparison of colour samples against colour standards

  • The spot measurement of colour for colour shade with a predetermined illumination method and selected angels of focus

  • The interpretation and statistic evaluation of all measurements taken

Equipment characteristics:

  • Excellent repeatability due to the spectroscopic analysis technique used

  • Multiply interpretations of measurement data

  • External sensor with ergonomic handle with automatically initiates measurements. This is very advantageous for soft materials like textiles and leathers

  • The small, user-friendly sensor head uses white LED's as defined light source

  • Non-volatile memory capacity for 1000 colour measurements and 100 colour samples with remission spectrometry

  • User-friendly menu guarantees easy of use

  • Measurements are date and time stamped

  • Interchangeable and rechargeable batteries for continuous use

  • Serial RS-232C Interface

  • Illuminated LCD graphic display

Delivery range:

  • ColorTector Alpha® Instrument

  • NiMH rechargeable battery pack

  • Temperature security charging station 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz AC

  • For the professional edge, ColorDaTra report software with the following features:

    • Serial interface to the host PC from ColorTector

    • Databank with spectral information for managing of captured measurements

    • Graphic display of colour-coordinates as well as relative colour variation from colour standards, e.g. the CIE L*a*b* colour system

    • Trending function

    • Quality control functions with selectable colour-reference £GE as well as a pass/fail reporting tool

    • Statistic function with average- and standard deviation as well as maximum range indication

    • Print function for both graphics and reports

  • RS-232C Interface cable

  • additional NiMH rechargeable battery pack

  • Precision support for providing a stable platform when performing measurements on very small sample areas
