Intro.
Small format - high reliability

Uncompromising measured values – Blow for blow precision. The hardness test instrument HardyTest D100® is a hand-held instrument with integrated sensor and impact device type D for universal use on site.

Hardness tester HardyTest D100®

This instrument is very small and manageable so that it can be optimally used for large and narrow pieces. HardyTest D100® can be used for almost all hardness measurements on ferrous and nonferrous materials.

HardyTest D100® has excellently proven itself for use in the power station industry and petrol chemistry, in the field of apparatus engineering, vehicle construction and mechanical engineering, in steel mills, etc.

The measuring principle of HardyTest D100® has been defined as the quotient based on the rebound and impact speed of the impact body multiplied by 1000. In the material test the impact body is knocked by the elastic force with a spherical calotte from hard metal against the surface to be tested and then it rebounds. This instrument measures the impact and rebound speed so that the permanent magnet installed in the impact body passes through a coil during the test impact and induces electric currents that behave proportionally to the speeds. The measured values based on the impact and rebound speed are calculated in the instrument electronics to form the hardness value L.
